My week in a nutshell...

Here's a little update of what I've been doing this past week.....

Figured out the triangle size to fill in for my quilt top. I found this sight on line but just couldn't get it. I'm pretty good at math too so it was real frustrating that I couldn't understand. So... I went to my trusty Iphone. LOL I found an app called 'QuiltRef" I figures out the size square you need to cut your triangles and corners for a quilt like this! It also has a conversion chart from inches to yards to cm! But wait there's more! It has the chart for the size of bed you want to make a comforter or bedspread for. It's a great free app and it saved my butt!
I had a few squares left over so I added them in each corner just to look like I knew what I was doing. LOL I have to tell you about another app for the phone. "QuiltFab" This one lets you play with the quilt size, tells you how much fabric you need for your backing, binding, shashing, triangles, blocks... and it's free!

Since I'm at a stand still on the quilt class I made a couple things today....
Isn't that nifty? An SVG file for my ATG from My Time to Craft. I still need to bling it up a little but I haven't figured out with what. I don't want it to look too crazy. I also got this SVG from her...
Isn't it cute? I have a little niece who LOVES Hello Ketty. I found her a Pezz dispencer and just HAD to make this little card to go with it. Her files are Free and there's a TON of them!

Yesterday was a nice enough day in the morning to take our motorcycles out. There was a 'Spring Vibration' so we road out there. I'm trying to get my brother in-law to make one of these...
isn't it cool? That's a John Dear tracker churning the ice cream! And the ice cream was goooood! It rained on us pretty good on our way back but it wouldn't be a bike ride with a new bike for us if it didn't rain :0)

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello, this is my first visit to your lovely blog. Your quilt is fab! I just started quilting myself and I can understand having difficulty with triangle sizes. That app sound incredible, I will look it up.
Thanks so much!
Hugs,
Terri

Lovely quilt! I have always wanted to learn how to quilt but I never have gotten around to it. I love the fact that there is a phone app for it! How fun :)
