Life is getting back to normal!

So since I blogged last, yest 4-ever a lot has happened. First, I lost my Dad just before Christmas. I have had friends that have lost one of their parents but never knew the pain they went through. My great husband and daughters have been so wonderful helping me through this. I feel as thought the mourning will never end.
I only made the 2 Christmas cards I did before his passing and I haven't made anything since. It's just so hard to get back into things when this happens. It was unexpected so I think that makes it harder to believe. I still think he's going to show up on my door step and say ' Honey, I'm sorry, it was a bad joke' It's so hard sometimes to want to go to sleep and even falling asleep.

Isn't he handsome?

Then about 2 or so weeks ago my computer crashed. :( Thought i would loose EVERYTHING including family photos and great digi stamps ;) Thank heavens for wonderful friends with brains! I didn't loose a thing... well come to think of it, I did loose all my digital paper. :( I'm bummen. I loved all that paper!

Well, I'm beginning to feel as though I need to shake my sadness off and begin creating again! Hope to have something up before the weeks end! So many wonderful challenges and projects out there. I so missed playing.

Thanks for visiting

I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad passing over. I know you don't know me AT ALL and I could be this weird person leaving a comment )hmmm maybe I am) but your Dad is still right there beside you.
Go into your studio space or where ever you create, tell him outloud you miss him and ask him to help you get back to creating.
It's one of the things he loved most about you, your talent and wonderful creative energy. Make something just for him.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and for entering my give-away.
I was so sorry to read that you lost your Dad just before Christmas. What a month you have had and little wonder you are feeling extremely tender and traumatised by it all. So this is sent with my thoughts and prayers, that you will know much comfort from happy memories and the love of your family to see you through this heart-breaking time and into the weeks ahead. Hugs xxx

Gail, so sorry about your dad. They are our heroes, aren't they? My dad was always the "go to" guy. He died when I was 37 (I'm 50) and I still find myself wishing I could call him when things go south. Hang in there.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. My father's passing was unexpected, even though he was in nursing care at the time....please read the post I have in his honor( The Strawberry Mallard, # 327 of OWOH...it is the January 11th post.) It may give you comfort ~ know that it will get easier and you will always feel his prescence ( and carry his spirit inside of you! )

I am so sorry for your loss. I am in the OneWorldOneHeart giveaway and I believe you visited my site #541. My father passed away when I was 17, of ALS. It's so hard even when you know it's coming, but at least you can "prepare mentally". My friend lost her dad suddenly, a heart-attack and I always thought it was harder for her. God bless you and your family, and know you have a huge fan in heaven...an angel watching over you. :)) Julie

I am so sorry to hear this. I can't imagine what I'll feel and experience when one of my parents die! :^( But I guess we just have to show them our love and appreciation now while they're alive so we will have no regrets.

Hi Gail, I came to visit because you signed up for my OWOH giveaway but had to comment on this post and say how sorry I am and in a way I know how you feel. My dear father in law passed away Dec' 10th. Just take your time, your creativity will return and I am sure your dad knows how much you need to create and would be happy if you enjoyed it again :)
Take care, Lynn
